Lykia

The question reasonably raised lately is, Why would Epsilon be based in, and operate out of, Turkey of all places? The answer, though not one-faceted, is plain enough and simple.
First off, even if the spiritual connection were ignored (Rumi, the poet of Epsilon, lived and died here, as did countless Ionian and Byzantine poets, philosophers, warriors and scientists); and take the matter strictly on a flesh-and-bone level, this is where, at these times universally most critical, the ongoing battle between the Jaa and Epsilon has reached a decisive point. For this is a symbol state, whose people are being called upon to take a stand, and make The Final Choice; of either relapsing into the Moslem State of not that long ago that it was, or honor the legacy of the maverick paradigm that, single-handedly, an Epsilon leader later nicknamed Ataturk, against all odds, created.
And second off, our MediTerra (MiddleEarth) has played CenterBase for Epsilon since the first landed settlement on this here planet’s surface; with Lykia, in what is now South Turkey, the only site on Earth that has retained the title that signifies our origin. For Lykia means WolfLand, with even the more generally accepted interpretation of Lyk/Luc/Luk/Lukk as Light, deriving from references to the Light of Sirius, aka the Dog (or, more correctly, Wolf) Star, our Metropolis. In Ellenic, Lyk is the root of Wolf (Lykophos {WolfLight} meaning in Ellenic Twilight, for example, and Lucifer meaning Bringer of Light in Latin); Lykos denoting the male animal, and Lykaina, more to the point, the Great SheWolf: the Totem of our Tribe.
